How can we help?

Answers to the questions we hear most. If yours is not here, write to us.

Getting started

Where do the text, photos and reviews on my site come from?

From your Google Maps listing. We go through your reviews and photos, AI writes the text from what your customers praise, and we add your opening hours, address and contacts.

None of it is set in stone. In the editor you can rewrite any text, swap photos or upload your own, and choose which reviews appear.

My site shows the wrong opening hours or phone number. How do I fix it?

Opening hours, address, phone and rating come from your Google Business Profile, so correct them there. Your site picks up the new details when it syncs, which the editor offers once the details are more than a month old, or straight away when you regenerate.

If it is urgent, write to us and we will refresh them for you.

What language will my site be in, and can I change it?

You choose the language before the site is built, from 20 languages. We fetch your Google reviews in that language so the text fits. You can change it later with Regenerate, which rebuilds the site in the new language.

Will people find my site on Google?

Yes. Every site has search engine descriptions and a sitemap, so Google finds it on its own. That usually takes anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.

What helps most is adding the site address to your Google Business Profile. Customers see it right in Maps, and Google connects the site with your business more easily.

Is the website really mine?

Yes. On any paid plan you can download it as a ZIP and host it anywhere. Bookings do not run in the download; it shows your contact details instead.

Editing your site

How do I change text, photos or the order of sections?

Open Edit content in the menu. Click a section to edit it, drag it to reorder, and use Add section for a new one, such as a price list or a gallery. Upload your own photos in the Photos library.

Everything is saved as a draft as you go, so you never lose work in progress.

Why do my changes not show on the site?

Edits are saved as a draft, and visitors see them once you press Publish in the editor. That way you can work in peace and go live when you are ready. Publishing is part of every paid plan.

The Website view in the menu always shows what visitors see right now.

Can I hide a review I do not like?

Yes. In the Reviews section you choose which reviews the site shows, and the rest stay hidden. We never change the wording of a review, those are your customers’ words. The overall rating and review count come from Google as they are.

What if I have few reviews, or some bad ones?

The site picks reviews of three stars and up, and you choose in the editor which ones show. The overall rating is shown as Google has it. With no reviews at all you still get a site, just without the reviews section.

A photo is cropped and the important part is missing. What can I do?

In the Photos library, click the crosshair icon on the photo. Drag the bright area onto what must stay visible, such as a face or the sign above your door. The photo then keeps that part in view everywhere it appears on your site.

What does Regenerate do, and when should I use it?

It rebuilds the whole site from your latest reviews, photos and details on Google. It is useful when new reviews have come in or you want the site in another language.

Manual text edits are replaced, while photos you uploaded yourself stay. You can regenerate once a month, and it is part of every paid plan.

Address and domain

How do I connect my own domain?

In your site’s Settings, enter the domain under Custom domain and press Connect. We show you the DNS records to add at your registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare and so on).

Connecting takes from a few minutes up to 24 hours. We set up https for you, and the old address starts redirecting to the new one. Custom domains are part of every paid plan.

Can I change the address that ends in reviewtoweb.com?

Yes, under Subdomain in your site’s Settings. Pick a short name that is easy to say over the phone, such as your business name. Changing the address is unlocked by every paid plan.

Do I need to own a domain?

No. Every site gets a free reviewtoweb.com subdomain. On every paid plan you can point your own domain at it instead, and we issue the certificate and keep the subdomain redirecting to it.

Do I pay for hosting separately?

No. Your website runs on our servers on every plan, the free one included, and we take care of https ourselves. There is no extra fee for hosting or a certificate. The only thing you might pay for elsewhere is your own domain, if you want one: you buy that from a registrar.

I already have a website. Why would I need this?

You can put the new site on your own domain in place of the old one, on any paid plan. Or keep your site and link from it to the booking page, which has its own address.

Bookings

How do I start taking bookings online?

Open Reservations in the menu and answer who keeps track of free times and what you offer. Setting it up is free, and you can try it out at your own pace. Going live on your site is part of the Bookings and Plus plans.

When you go live, we add bookings to your site ourselves, including the buttons at the top of the page and a link in the menu.

How does a guest learn their booking is confirmed, and how do they cancel?

The guest gets an email with the confirmation and a calendar event. The email has a link to cancel on their own, and if you switch it on, a reminder arrives the day before. When you move or cancel a booking, we let them know by email. That is why the email field is required.

Can I approve each booking first?

Yes, in two ways. Let the system keep track of free times and switch on approval for new bookings, or keep track yourself: the site then offers your full opening hours and you confirm every request.

We promise guests an answer within 24 hours. A request you have not confirmed by its start time is cancelled, and we send the guest an apology by email.

How do I mark that a guest has arrived?

Press Arrived next to their booking on Today or on the floor screen. Today then shows them among the guests who are here, with how long they stay.

If nobody presses anything, the guest counts as late for the first 15 minutes, and after that we assume they are here. They show as Not marked, and one press settles it: Arrived, or No show.

How do I move a booking to another time?

In the calendar, switch the day to Grid and drag the booking to the new time, or to another table or person. Or open the booking and press Move, where you type the new time.

The guest gets an email with the new time and an updated calendar event. If you have already agreed the change on the phone, switch the email off in the Move dialog. After dragging, you can undo the move from the message that appears.

What can a colleague with the Staff or Manager role do?

Staff handle the day: Today, the calendar, the list of bookings, guests arriving, confirming, moving and cancelling bookings, and blocking time.

A manager can do all of that, plus edit services, the team or the tables, see statistics, change the booking settings, pause and resume bookings, and invite staff.

Only the owner can take bookings live for the first time, delete the booking system, edit the website and manage billing.

Billing and account

What do I actually get for free?

One website on a yoursite.reviewtoweb.com address, generated from your Google reviews, with a small ReviewToWeb badge in the footer. The whole editor is open to you: change anything and it is saved as a draft. Putting changes on the public website (publishing, uploading photos, your own domain, online booking) and exporting are what the paid plans unlock.

Full pricing
Which plan do I need?

Web is your website on your own address, with a contact form whose messages land in your inbox. Bookings adds online booking: guests pick a free time themselves, get a confirmation by email, and you see every booking in one place. Plus is for businesses with more staff and for anyone who builds websites for clients: more accounts for colleagues on each website, and up to 30 websites.

Do I need a card?

Not to create the site. You enter a card when you pick a paid plan. Web and Bookings start with 7 days free: we remind you before the trial ends, and if you cancel in time you pay nothing.

What happens when the 7-day trial ends?

When the trial ends, your card is charged automatically for the plan you picked. We email you a reminder three days before, and if you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. The trial is available once per customer. The Web and Bookings plans have a trial. The Plus plan has none and is billed at signup.

Why no commission?

You pay a fixed monthly price, and your guests' payments never pass through us, so there is nothing to take a cut of. However many bookings come in, the price stays the same.

What happens if I change plan?

The change applies straight away, and before you confirm it we show you exactly what it costs. Moving up, you pay only the difference for the rest of your current period. Moving down, the unused part becomes credit that pays your next invoices. Moving to yearly billing starts a new yearly period, with the unused part of your month taken off.

Are the prices with VAT?

The price you see is the price you pay: we are not registered for VAT, so nothing is added at checkout. New subscriptions are charged in the currency of the language version you order from: Czech crowns in Czech, euros in Slovak and German, złoty in Polish, forints in Hungarian and US dollars in English, and a subscription keeps its currency for good, including when you change plan.

Where do I find invoices, and how do I change my card?

Click your email in the bottom left and choose Billing. Stripe’s secure portal opens, where you can download invoices, change your card or cancel your subscription.

Can I cancel whenever I want?

Yes, in the account menu under Billing. If you cancel during the trial, you pay nothing. Otherwise cancelling stops the next renewal and your plan keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for; the unused part of a period is not refunded. As a consumer, you can still withdraw within 14 days of your first payment and get it back in full.

Terms of service
What if I stop paying?

Your account goes back to the Free plan. Websites you have already published stay online as they are, and your drafts are kept. Publishing edits, creating more websites, online booking and exporting lock again until you resubscribe.

How do I delete a site or my whole account?

Delete a site at the very bottom of its Settings, with Delete website. To be safe, we ask you to type its name. The site, its photos and reviews are gone for good.

To delete your whole account, write to us and we will take care of it.

Did not find your answer?
